چکیده
In this present work, simulations of 20 kW furnace were carried out with hydrogen-enriched methane mixtures, to identify optimal geometrical configurations and operating conditions operate in flameless combustion regime. The objective work is show the advantages for fuels limits current typical industrial designs these mixtures. performances a semi-industrial chamber equipped self-recuperative burner are evaluated increasing H 2 concentrations. For highly -enriched burners employed appear be inadequate reach conditions. particular, coaxial injector configuration, an equimolar mixture hydrogen represents limit enrichment. To achieve conditions, different geometries configuration tested. Fuel dilution CO O was also investigated. Dilution slows mixing process, consequently helping transition , products generation processes, therefore their use fuel convenient applications. thus allows greater percentages mixture.

An Embedded Boundary Method for the Modeling of Unsteady Combustion in an Industrial Gas-Filled Furnace
A new methodology for the modeling of unsteady, nonpremixed, axisymmetric reacting ow in industrial furnaces is presented. The method is an extension of previous work by the authors to complex geometries, multistep kinetics mechanisms, and realistic properties, especially thermochemical data. The walls of the furnace are represented as an embedded boundary in a uniform, rectangular grid. The gr...
متن کاملDEVELOPMENT OF A METHOD FOR ALUMINIUM DETERMINATION IN SERUM AND DIALYSIS FLUID BY FLAMELESS ATOMIC ABSORPTION WITH GRAPHITE FURNACE
Aluminium determination was carried out in serum and dialysis fluid by a simple and reliable method of nameless atomic absorption with graphite furnace . . No preparatory procedures are required for water and dialysis fluid. In this method serum was mixed with 0.2% HNO, to allow complete combustion of the samples in order to improve analytical precision. The method has a sensitivity of 15 p...
متن کاملGrate Furnace Combustion: A Submodel for the Solid Fuel Layer
The reduction of NOx-formation in biomass fired grate furnaces requires the development of numerical models. To represent the variety in scales and physical processes playing a role in the conversion, newly developed submodels are required. Here, a submodel for the reverse combustion process in the solid fuel layer on the grate is described. The submodel is shown to give good predictions for th...
متن کاملCatalytic Combustion of Methane
Catalytic combustion is an environmentally benign technology which has recently reached the stage of commercialization. Palladium is the catalyst of choice when considering gas turbines fuelled with natural gas because of its superior activity for methane oxidation. Several fundamental issues are still open and their understanding would result in an improvement of the technology. Hence, the wor...
متن کاملModel of pulverized coal combustion in a furnace
We describe behavior of the air-coal mixture using the Navier–Stokes equations for gas and particle phases, accompanied by a turbulence model. The undergoing chemical reactions are described by the Arrhenian kinetics (reaction rate proportional to exp ` − E RT ́ , where T is temperature). We also consider the heat transfer via conduction and radiation. Moreover we use improved turbulence-chemist...
